Sequential Effect Anticonvulsant and Tranquilizer

Description:
Anticonvulsant and tranquilizer for canines/dogs.
Oral administration.

Formula:
Each tablet contains: Sodium
Diphenylhydantoinate 100 mg, Diazepam 5 mg and auxiliary agents q.s. 300 mg.

Indications:
Control of convulsions or central origin epileptic-form seizures. Neuroregulating tranquilizer in cases of hyperexcitability, neurotic aggressiveness and hyper-sexuality in dogs.

Administration and dose:
Preventive prophylaxis anticonvulsant against Carré’s disease or canine distemper:
Administer 1 tablet for every 10 kilos of weight per day, divided into two daily intakes, during 30 days, to continue subsequently with one tablet every 20 kilos of weight per day, in two daily intakes during the following 30 days. If, during the course of the treatment, seizures should occur, it is indicated to maintain the initial dose adjusting the sustenance dose in accordance with the patient’s clinical response and the evolution of the process over a period of 3 to 6 months.
Epilepsy: It is highly effective in the control of seizures caused by either idiopathic or acquired epilepsy. The dose recommended in these cases is: 1 tablet every 10 kilos of weight per day, divided into two daily intakes during the first 20 days, subsequently adjusting the supporting dose according to each patient’s clinical response.
As a tranquilizer, administer 1/2 to 1 tablet daily every 10 kilos of weight, divided into two intakes.
