Indications for use

Sedative, muscle relaxant, analgesic and anesthetic for use alone or in pre-anesthetic or anesthetic associations, for containment maneuvers, major or minor surgery in all the domestic species.

Administration and dose:
Bovines: for minor surgeries, sedation or transport: apply 5 to 10 mg of Xilazine hydrochloride for every 100 kilos. (0,25 to 0,5 ml of Kensol every 100 kilos) through IM or IV route. The effect starts after 30 seconds after administration and lasts for approximately 2 hours. .
For major surgeries, it may be used alone, applying 20 mg of Xilazine Hydrochloride for every 100 Kilos (1 ml of Kensol for every 100 kilos) through IM or IV route, the effect persisting for 2 to 4 hours. Kensol can also be combined (0,5 ml for every 100 kilos) with Vetanarcol (10 ml of Vetanarcol every 100 kilos).
Equines: for sedation purposes and light anesthesia: administer 0,6 to 2 mg/Kg. of Xilazine Hydrochloride (3 to 10 ml of Kensol every 100 kilos) through SC, IM or IV route, the effect persisting between 15 and 30 minutes.
For major surgeries, associate 0,2 mg de Xilazine Hydrochloride (4 ml/100 kilos of Kensol) through IM or IV route, with 2 to 4 mg/kilo de Ketamine Hydrochloride (4 to 8 ml/100 kilos of Vetanarcol) applied one hour later.
